TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last updated: Q4 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of InternshipSpain and the services offered through internshipspain.nl, internshipspain.es, the InternshipSpain application, associated domains, subdomains and related online services (together, the “Platform”).
Please read these Terms carefully before creating an account, purchasing a service or using the Platform.
1. About InternshipSpain
InternshipSpain is operated by:
Stijen B.V.
Spijksedijk 20A
4207 GN Gorinchem
The Netherlands
Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 96238933
Email: info@internshipspain.nl
In these Terms, “InternshipSpain”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Stijen B.V.
InternshipSpain operates an online platform through which students seeking internships in Spain can create and publish a profile that can be viewed by verified companies looking for interns.
InternshipSpain is a platform and introduction service. We are not the employer of any Student, we do not employ or supply Students to Companies, we are not a temporary employment agency, and we are not a party to any internship, employment or other agreement concluded between a Student and a Company.
2. Applicability and acceptance
These Terms apply to:
- individuals who create or use a Student account (“Students”);
- companies and their representatives that create or use a Company account (“Companies”); and
- any other person who accesses or uses the Platform (“Users”).
By creating an account, purchasing a Package, ticking the relevant acceptance box or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
If you create or use an account on behalf of a Company or other organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Students use the Platform as consumers unless the circumstances clearly demonstrate otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or waived under applicable consumer law.
3. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
Company means a business or organisation that has created a Company account and has been admitted to the Platform by InternshipSpain.
Company Account means an account through which a Company may, subject to verification and these Terms, access Student Profiles.
Contact Request means a request sent by a Company through the Platform asking a Student to establish contact.
Package means a paid service package purchased by a Student, including the Profile Publication Service and, where applicable, Premium Features.
Platform Content means software, databases, designs, branding, text, graphics, functionality and other material owned by or licensed to InternshipSpain, excluding User Content.
Premium Features means optional additional features specified at checkout, which may include enhanced visibility, priority positioning, city-specific promotion, promotion to Companies, promotional emails to Companies or similar services.
Profile Publication Service means the one-time service whereby InternshipSpain technically activates and publishes a completed Student Profile on the Platform so that it becomes accessible to verified Companies.
Student Profile means the information, documents and other Content submitted by a Student for the purpose of becoming discoverable to Companies.
User Content means information, documents, photographs, messages, text and other material supplied by a User through the Platform.
4. Eligibility
4.1 Students
A Student may only create and use an account if the Student:
- is at least 18 years old;
- is legally capable of entering into an agreement;
- is genuinely seeking or considering an internship in Spain; and
- provides accurate, current and complete information.
InternshipSpain does not permit persons under 18 to create a Student account.
4.2 Companies
A Company may only access Student Profiles after completing our Company registration and verification process.
A representative creating a Company Account must have authority to act on behalf of that Company.
InternshipSpain may refuse, suspend or revoke Company access where we cannot satisfactorily verify the Company or where we reasonably believe access may create a risk to Students, other Users or the Platform.
5. The InternshipSpain service
InternshipSpain provides the technical infrastructure that enables:
- Students to create and maintain a Student Profile;
- Students to publish their Profile to verified Companies;
- verified Companies to browse and filter Student Profiles;
- Companies to send Contact Requests;
- Students to accept or decline Contact Requests;
- accepted Companies to receive the Student’s contact details;
- Students and Companies to communicate through the Platform’s chat functionality; and
- Students to purchase optional visibility and promotional features.
The exact functionality available may change over time.
InternshipSpain does not undertake to actively find, negotiate or secure an internship for an individual Student unless a separate written service has expressly been agreed.
6. Student Profiles
Students create their own Profiles and are responsible for their content.
A Student Profile may contain information such as:
- first and last name;
- profile photograph;
- city of residence;
- nationality;
- education and educational institution;
- study programme and field of study;
- study year and expected graduation year;
- work experience;
- languages;
- skills and interests;
- internship preferences;
- preferred city;
- preferred internship period;
- internship requirements;
- internship description;
- curriculum vitae;
- motivation letter; and
- other information submitted by the Student.
A Student’s email address and telephone number are not disclosed to a Company merely because the Company can view the Student Profile. Those contact details are made available to a Company only after the Student accepts that Company’s Contact Request, unless the Student independently chooses to disclose them.
Students must not upload information about themselves or another person that they do not have the right to provide.
Students should not include unnecessary special-category personal data, such as information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, trade union membership, health information, biometric identifiers or information concerning a person’s sex life or sexual orientation, unless there is a legitimate reason and applicable law permits such processing.
7. Student obligations
Students must:
- provide truthful and accurate information;
- ensure that qualifications, employment history, language skills and other claims are not misleading;
- keep relevant Profile information reasonably up to date;
- notify us or hide/delete their Profile when they are no longer looking for an internship abroad;
- communicate professionally with Companies;
- protect their account credentials; and
- promptly notify us if they suspect unauthorised access to their account.
Students may not impersonate another person, create fictitious Profiles or intentionally mislead Companies.
InternshipSpain may request clarification or evidence where we reasonably suspect that material information is inaccurate.
8. Profile publication and payment
A Student Profile becomes visible to Companies only when:
- the Profile has been sufficiently completed; and
- the applicable Package has been paid in full.
Once both conditions are fulfilled, the Platform may publish the Profile automatically without manual review by InternshipSpain.
The Profile Publication Service is the technical service of making the completed Profile available to verified Companies. It is not payment for a guaranteed period of visibility and it is not payment for a successful internship placement.
The Profile Publication Service is fully performed when the completed Student Profile has, following payment, been successfully activated and made accessible to verified Companies for the first time.
9. Packages, prices and discount codes
InternshipSpain may offer different Packages.
Packages may differ in features such as:
- standard Profile publication;
- enhanced visibility;
- priority placement in relevant search results;
- priority placement within selected cities;
- promotion of the Student Profile to Companies;
- promotional emails or other outreach to Companies; and
- other promotional or discovery features described at checkout.
The contents and price of the Package shown immediately before purchase form part of the agreement for that purchase.
Prices displayed to Students are inclusive of VAT unless clearly stated otherwise.
InternshipSpain may change its Packages, prices or available Premium Features at any time for future purchases. A price change does not retroactively alter an already completed purchase.
We may issue promotional or discount codes. Discount codes:
- may have separate eligibility requirements or expiry dates;
- cannot be exchanged for cash;
- may not be transferred unless expressly permitted; and
- may be withdrawn or rejected in cases of fraud, misuse or technical error.
All Student payments are currently one-off payments. We will not introduce recurring charges or automatic renewal for an existing purchase unless the Student has been clearly informed and has separately agreed to such recurring payment.
10. Premium Features
Premium Features provide enhanced promotional treatment but do not guarantee:
- a particular number of Profile views;
- Contact Requests;
- interviews;
- responses from Companies;
- a particular ranking at all times; or
- an internship.
Search results may be affected by the criteria selected by a Company. A Profile that is given enhanced visibility may therefore not appear above a Profile that is materially more relevant to a Company’s specific search or filters where the design of the relevant Premium Feature so requires.
Where several Students purchase the same priority feature, positioning may be shared, rotated or otherwise distributed in accordance with the Platform’s technical operation.
An email or promotional campaign to Companies is deemed performed when InternshipSpain has submitted or sent the relevant campaign through its systems. We do not guarantee that every email will be delivered, opened, read or acted upon.
If a Premium Feature is expressly described at checkout as a continuing service over time, that Feature is treated as a continuing service for consumer-law purposes. Merely activating such a continuing feature does not mean that the entire continuing service has been fully performed.
11. Payment processing
Payments are processed using Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout.
InternshipSpain does not normally receive or store complete payment-card details. Payment providers process such information under their own terms and privacy practices.
A payment is considered completed once the relevant payment provider confirms successful payment.
Where a payment is reversed, charged back, fraudulent or otherwise invalid, InternshipSpain may suspend the corresponding service or account while the payment is investigated.
12. Consumer right of withdrawal and immediate performance
12.1 Statutory withdrawal period
Students who qualify as consumers generally have a statutory right to withdraw from an online service contract within 14 days from conclusion of the contract, unless that right has lawfully ended or an exception applies.
Nothing in these Terms removes a statutory withdrawal right where applicable law does not permit us to do so.
12.2 Express request for immediate performance
Because Students normally want their Profile to be published immediately following payment, InternshipSpain may ask the Student, through a separate affirmative action at checkout, to:
- expressly request that performance of the Profile Publication Service begins immediately, before expiry of the statutory withdrawal period; and
- acknowledge and agree that the statutory right of withdrawal is lost once the Profile Publication Service has been fully performed.
InternshipSpain will not rely on the loss of the withdrawal right unless the legally required consent, request and acknowledgement have been obtained.
12.3 Completion of the Profile Publication Service
Where the Student has expressly requested immediate performance and has acknowledged the consequence for the withdrawal right, the statutory withdrawal right in respect of the Profile Publication Service ends once the Student’s completed Profile has actually been published and the Profile Publication Service has therefore been fully performed.
After that moment, deletion, hiding or deactivation of the Profile by the Student does not undo the service already supplied and does not create a right to reimbursement of the price paid for the Profile Publication Service.
12.4 Service not yet fully performed
If payment has been made but the Profile Publication Service has not yet been fully performed, mandatory statutory withdrawal rights continue to apply to the extent required by law.
Where the Student expressly requested that performance begin during the withdrawal period but withdraws before performance has been completed, InternshipSpain may charge an amount proportionate to the part of the service already supplied where applicable law permits this.
12.5 Premium Features
A one-off Premium Feature that is fully carried out immediately may be treated as fully performed once the agreed promotional action has actually been completed, provided the legally required request and acknowledgement were obtained.
Where a Premium Feature requires continuing performance over a period of time, mandatory withdrawal rights applicable to that continuing service remain in force until they lawfully expire. If the Student expressly requested immediate commencement, InternshipSpain may deduct or charge the legally permitted proportionate amount for services supplied before valid withdrawal.
12.6 No contractual refund after completed performance
Once a one-off service has been fully performed and any applicable statutory withdrawal right has lawfully ended, purchases are final and non-refundable.
In particular, no refund is due merely because:
- the Student changes their mind;
- the Student later decides not to pursue an internship in Spain;
- the Student deletes or hides their Profile;
- the Student receives fewer Profile views or Contact Requests than expected;
- the Student does not receive an interview or internship;
- a Company does not respond;
- a school does not approve a potential internship;
- a Student’s travel, visa, financial or personal circumstances change; or
- the Student no longer wishes to use the Platform.
This does not affect mandatory remedies where InternshipSpain has failed to supply a service in conformity with the agreement or where applicable law otherwise requires a refund.
Any voluntary refund granted by InternshipSpain in an exceptional case does not create an obligation to grant a refund in another case.
13. Duration and visibility of Student Profiles
There is no fixed contractual visibility period for a standard Student Profile unless expressly stated at checkout.
A Profile may remain active while the Student is genuinely seeking a relevant internship and while the Platform continues to offer the relevant service.
Students may hide or delete their Profile at any time.
InternshipSpain may periodically ask Students to confirm that they are still seeking an internship. We may hide or archive Profiles that appear outdated, inaccurate or no longer relevant, particularly where a Student does not respond to a reasonable verification request.
Profile deletion or deactivation does not entitle a Student to a refund for a Profile Publication Service that was already fully performed.
14. Company verification
Before being granted access to Student Profiles, Companies are subject to a verification process.
Verification may include checks of:
- whether the Company appears to be a legitimately registered business in Spain;
- publicly available company information;
- Company contact information;
- email domains and websites;
- information supplied during registration; and
- information that may reasonably indicate fraud, abuse or an elevated safety risk.
Verification is intended to reduce misuse of the Platform. It is not a certification, endorsement or guarantee that a Company:
- is financially sound;
- will offer an internship;
- provides an appropriate or safe workplace;
- complies with every applicable law;
- is recognised or approved by a particular educational institution; or
- will act properly in every interaction with a Student.
Students remain responsible for carrying out appropriate due diligence before entering into an internship or other arrangement.
15. Company use of Student data
Access to Student Profiles is granted solely for the genuine purpose of identifying, evaluating and contacting potential interns for legitimate internship opportunities.
Companies must comply with applicable privacy and data-protection law, including the GDPR where applicable.
A Company may not:
- use Student data for unrelated recruitment, advertising or commercial purposes;
- send Students marketing or promotional communications unrelated to a genuine internship opportunity;
- sell, rent, license or otherwise commercialise Student data;
- share Student data with third parties except where strictly necessary for the genuine evaluation of the Student and legally permitted;
- build a commercial database or general talent pool from Student Profiles without an appropriate independent legal basis and, where required, the Student’s consent;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, copy or systematically extract Student Profiles;
- use bots, scripts or automated tools to collect Student data;
- enrich Student data with other datasets for unrelated purposes;
- upload Student data to an AI system or use Student data to train or improve an AI or machine-learning model without an appropriate legal basis and, where necessary, the Student’s and InternshipSpain’s prior written permission;
- carry out unlawful background checks;
- use information in a discriminatory or otherwise unlawful manner; or
- retain Student data for longer than reasonably necessary for the relevant internship-evaluation purpose.
Companies must apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect Student data.
If InternshipSpain informs a Company that a Student has requested deletion or has withdrawn their availability, the Company must delete data obtained from the Platform where the Company no longer has an independent lawful basis for retaining it.
When a Company copies, stores or otherwise uses Student personal data for its own internship evaluation or recruitment process, that Company is responsible for its own compliance with applicable data-protection law as an independent controller to the extent provided by law.
16. Contact Requests and disclosure of contact information
A Company may send a Contact Request through the Platform.
The Student decides whether to accept or reject the request.
Until the Student accepts the request, the Company is not entitled through the Platform to the Student’s private email address or telephone number.
When a Student accepts the request, the Student instructs InternshipSpain to disclose the contact information made available for that purpose to the requesting Company.
Acceptance of a Contact Request does not create an internship agreement and does not obligate either party to continue discussions.
Companies may use disclosed contact details only in connection with legitimate internship discussions unless the Student separately agrees otherwise.
17. Chat and communications
The Platform may provide chat functionality through which Students and Companies can communicate.
Users are responsible for the content of their communications.
Users must not send:
- threatening, abusive, discriminatory or harassing messages;
- spam or unrelated commercial advertising;
- malicious files or links;
- unlawful material;
- misleading requests or offers; or
- content that infringes another person’s rights.
InternshipSpain may access or review communications where reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate reported abuse, protect Users, enforce these Terms, maintain security or comply with law, as further described in the Privacy Policy.
18. Search, filters and ranking
Without specific search criteria, Student Profiles may be displayed in a randomised or otherwise neutral order.
When a Company applies filters or search criteria, the Platform may automatically assign relevance weights to the selected criteria and order Student Profiles according to how closely they match that particular search.
This automated ordering:
- is intended only to organise search results;
- does not accept or reject a Student for an internship;
- does not require a Company to contact any particular Student; and
- does not replace the Company’s own evaluation.
Premium Features may also affect Profile positioning as clearly described in the relevant Package.
InternshipSpain may modify search and ranking logic to improve relevance, fairness, performance, safety or the operation of the Platform.
19. Future AI functionality
InternshipSpain does not currently rely on artificial intelligence to create Student Profiles or make internship decisions.
We may introduce AI-assisted features in the future, for example to assist with profile writing, search, recommendations, matching, fraud detection or support.
Before introducing AI functionality that materially changes how personal data is processed, we will update our relevant information and Privacy Policy and, where required by law, obtain consent or provide other legally required safeguards.
AI-generated recommendations or outputs may contain inaccuracies. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they are assistance tools and not guarantees, professional advice or final internship decisions.
InternshipSpain will not knowingly introduce solely automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects on Students without complying with applicable legal requirements.
20. Internship arrangements and responsibilities
Any internship or potential internship is an arrangement between the Student, the Company and, where relevant, the Student’s educational institution.
InternshipSpain is not a party to that arrangement.
InternshipSpain is not responsible for agreeing, monitoring or guaranteeing matters including:
- duties and responsibilities;
- working hours;
- internship compensation or salary;
- taxes or social-security consequences;
- supervision;
- educational requirements;
- health and safety at the workplace;
- Company policies;
- accommodation;
- travel;
- visas, residence permits or work permits;
- insurance;
- school approval;
- termination or cancellation of an internship; or
- the conduct of a Student, Company, employee, supervisor or other third party.
Companies are responsible for ensuring that internship opportunities they offer comply with all laws and regulations applicable to them.
Students are responsible for confirming with their educational institution and appropriate authorities that a proposed internship satisfies relevant study, immigration, insurance and other requirements.
21. No placement guarantee
InternshipSpain does not guarantee that:
- a Student will receive any Contact Request;
- a Company will respond;
- a Student will be invited to an interview;
- a Student will obtain an internship;
- a Company will find a suitable Student;
- an internship will start or continue; or
- any particular result will be achieved.
Statistics, averages, testimonials, success percentages, typical matching periods and similar information displayed on the Platform or in marketing materials are historical or indicative information only.
They do not form a promise, warranty, service level or guarantee for an individual User.
22. User Content
Users remain the owners of the User Content they submit, subject to any third-party rights.
By uploading User Content, the User grants InternshipSpain a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- host and store that Content;
- reproduce it technically;
- display it to authorised Users;
- transmit it through Platform functionality;
- resize, format or technically adapt it; and
- otherwise process it as necessary to operate and provide the Platform.
This licence is limited to operating, promoting and providing the relevant Platform services and does not transfer ownership of User Content to InternshipSpain.
The licence ends when the Content is deleted and no longer reasonably needs to be retained, subject to backups, legal obligations and legitimate legal claims.
Users warrant that they have the necessary rights to provide their User Content.
23. InternshipSpain intellectual property
All rights in the Platform and Platform Content, including its software, source code, design, databases, layout, branding, logos, texts and functionality, belong to InternshipSpain or its licensors.
Except where expressly permitted by law or by us in writing, Users may not:
- reproduce or republish Platform Content;
- commercially exploit it;
- create derivative databases from it;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to obtain source code;
- bypass technical restrictions; or
- use the InternshipSpain name, logo or branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation.
No ownership rights are transferred to Users.
24. Prohibited conduct
Users must not:
- access accounts or systems without authorisation;
- share or resell account access;
- create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions;
- scrape, crawl or harvest the Platform;
- interfere with Platform operation or security;
- introduce malware or harmful code;
- circumvent rate limits or access controls;
- send spam;
- impersonate another person or organisation;
- commit fraud;
- upload unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or infringing content;
- harass or threaten other Users;
- use the Platform for unlawful purposes;
- misuse personal information;
- systematically copy the Platform database; or
- otherwise act in a way that materially threatens the safety, integrity or fairness of the Platform.
25. Suspension, moderation and termination
InternshipSpain aims to maintain a safe and fair Platform.
We may investigate suspected breaches and may take proportionate measures including:
- warning a User;
- removing Content;
- restricting functionality;
- hiding a Student Profile;
- temporarily suspending an account;
- blocking Company access to Student Profiles; or
- permanently terminating an account.
We may act immediately where reasonably necessary because of fraud, harassment, security risks, unlawful conduct, scraping, misuse of personal data, material misrepresentation or a serious threat to Users or the Platform.
Where reasonably possible and appropriate, we will tell the affected User the reason for a material restriction.
A User may contact info@internshipspain.nl to contest a suspension or termination.
Where an account is terminated because of the User’s breach, no contractual refund is due for services already fully performed, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this section affects mandatory consumer remedies where InternshipSpain has itself failed to perform its contractual obligations.
26. Closing or deleting an account
Students may stop using the Platform, hide their Profile or request deletion of their account at any time.
Deleting an account:
- stops future use of the relevant account;
- causes the Student Profile to become unavailable to Companies through the Platform; and
- initiates deletion of personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Deleting or hiding an account is separate from cancelling a purchase.
Where the Profile Publication Service has already been fully performed and the statutory right of withdrawal has lawfully ended, subsequent deletion or hiding of the Profile does not create a right to a refund.
Companies may also request closure of their account.
27. Third-party services
The Platform relies on third-party services such as hosting, database infrastructure, email providers, payment providers, analytics services and other technical suppliers.
We select providers we consider appropriate for the relevant purpose but do not control the independent operation of third-party services.
Third-party websites and services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
28. Platform availability
We aim to keep the Platform available and functioning properly but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Maintenance, security incidents, internet failures, hosting failures, software errors or circumstances outside our reasonable control may temporarily affect availability.
We may perform maintenance, update functionality or make technical changes as reasonably necessary.
29. Changes to features and the Platform
InternshipSpain may develop, modify, replace or discontinue Platform features.
For future purchases, we may change Package contents and prices at any time.
A material paid feature purchased by a Student will be supplied in accordance with what was represented at the time of purchase, subject to technical changes that do not materially reduce the agreed service.
If we are unable to provide a paid service as agreed, the Student retains any remedy required by mandatory law.
30. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
InternshipSpain is responsible for its own obligations under the agreement to the extent required by applicable law.
However, because InternshipSpain provides a marketplace and introduction Platform, we are not responsible for loss or damage caused by:
- false, incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by another User;
- a Student’s or Company’s actions or omissions;
- negotiations between a Student and Company;
- a Company declining or cancelling an internship;
- a Student declining or cancelling an internship;
- working conditions or workplace conduct;
- accommodation, travel, immigration or insurance arrangements;
- decisions of educational institutions or authorities; or
- third-party services outside our reasonable control,
InternshipSpain is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, loss of profits, loss of goodwill or business interruption to the extent such liability may lawfully be excluded.
Any limitation in these Terms applies to consumers only to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer law.
For Companies and other business Users, to the fullest extent permitted by law, InternshipSpain’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Platform is limited to the total fees paid by that User to InternshipSpain in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or, if no fees were paid, EUR 100.
The preceding business-user limitation does not apply to liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, deliberate recklessness or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
31. Responsibility of business Users
A Company is responsible for claims, regulatory action, costs or losses caused by its own unlawful processing or misuse of Student data, unlawful internship practices, infringement of third-party rights or material breach of these Terms.
To the extent permitted by law, a Company shall indemnify InternshipSpain against third-party claims resulting directly from such unlawful conduct, except to the extent caused by InternshipSpain’s own negligence or unlawful conduct.
This indemnification provision does not apply to Students acting as consumers.
32. Force majeure
InternshipSpain is not liable for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including major internet or infrastructure outages, failures of external providers, natural disasters, governmental actions, war, civil disorder, strikes, epidemics, cyberattacks or other comparable events, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
33. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with the InternshipSpain Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains, among other things:
- what personal data we process;
- why we process it;
- which parties receive it;
- how Student Profiles are made available to verified Companies;
- how search ranking works;
- the use of analytics and advertising technologies; and
- Users’ privacy rights.
Companies remain independently responsible for their processing of Student data where they determine their own purposes and means of processing.
34. Electronic communication
Users agree that service-related notices may be provided electronically, including by email or through the Platform.
Users are responsible for maintaining an accurate email address and for checking relevant communications.
Transactional communications necessary to operate an account or provide the service are not marketing communications.
Where marketing consent is required, marketing communications will be handled separately and Users can withdraw from such communications.
35. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary, including because of:
- changes in law;
- changes to the Platform;
- security requirements;
- new functionality; or
- changes to our business model.
Material changes affecting existing Users will be communicated through an appropriate channel, such as email or an in-Platform notice, before they take effect where reasonably possible.
Changes will not retroactively reduce a paid service already purchased without any remedy required by applicable law.
Minor, administrative or legally required changes may take effect immediately.
The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
36. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and the agreement between a User and InternshipSpain are governed by Dutch law.
If a Student is a consumer residing in another country, this choice of Dutch law does not deprive that Student of mandatory consumer protections that apply under the law of their habitual residence where such protections cannot lawfully be waived.
We encourage Users to contact us first at info@internshipspain.nl so that we can attempt to resolve a complaint directly.
For disputes with Companies and other business Users, the competent courts in the district of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, shall have exclusive jurisdiction, to the extent legally permitted.
Consumer disputes may be brought before the court that is competent under applicable mandatory procedural and consumer law. Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to surrender a statutory right to bring proceedings before another competent court.
37. Language
These Terms may be made available in English, Dutch and Spanish, including through internshipspain.nl and internshipspain.es.
The English version is the original version and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, prevails in the event of an inconsistency between translations.
This clause does not limit mandatory consumer-law requirements relating to transparency, interpretation or language.
38. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
An invalid provision shall, where legally possible, be interpreted or replaced in a way that most closely reflects its intended lawful purpose.
39. No waiver
A failure by InternshipSpain to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.
